Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! You will be embarking on a very exclusive, one-of-a-kind, opportunity, as we are not open to the public and only allow a very limited number of small weddings each year.
We look forward to accommodating your special day and ceremony time.
We ask for a donation of $1000. Upon receipt we will work with you to reserve your chosen day and time.
Our package offers the following:
~ Phone consultation: We will handle your initial inquiry and arrange a "planning" visit.
~ In-person walk-through: Before the big day you will be invited to scout out your perfect spot. Couples usually choose the Pergola on the pond near the cottage, as the wisteria provides great cover for sun or drizzles, and the dock over the water is a favorite for pictures. If we know in advance of a different preferred location we will make sure that area is set up for you.
~ Animal tour: Tour our 8-acre sanctuary and meet our amazing rescue animals, before or after the ceremony. The tour provides great photo opportunities.
~ Witnesses: Available if you need them.
~ Wine: If you are interested, we have made-on-property bottles of wine so that you can toast to your nuptials (we supply glasses).
~ Landscaping: We grow seasonal flowers in our gardens as well as in some potted plants and hanging baskets that are located around the property, and you are welcome to also bring your own special flowers or displays for your wedding day.
~ Up to ten people: Guests are limited to the officiant, the couple, your photographer, your witnesses and up to six other guests.
~ Use of our grounds: Stay a while and enjoy the beauty of West Place for up to 3 hours. Following your wedding, the private tour and your photo session, you and your guests will be welcome to picnic on the front lawn with a view of the Sakonnet River.
** Please note that we do not have changing facilities. We do have one outdoor lavatory.**

Just Engaged? We Have the Photo Spot...
If you love animals, and flowers, and ponds, and greenhouses, and fruit trees and more, you'll love having your engagement photos taken at our sanctuary. You'll have a private guide show you and your photographer around the grounds for the best photo opportunities, and will provide animal interactions. We have plenty of ways for both serious and fun shots! We'll reserve a private time slot for you of up to two hours with no other visitors on property so all of the focus is on you and your fiancee.
