2023 Was
All About The Animals

HSS_600x400.jpg

Another year is nearly in the books! 2023 (our 16th year) was full of hard work and challenges that required creative solutions. We rescued 38 new animals (and the year isn't over), completed 2 new construction projects, and welcomed dozens of new volunteers and student interns.

Everything we do is for the animals who have persevered through cruelty, abuse, and neglect situations. We draw our inspiration from them and as the year comes to a close, we hope you will be inspired to support our mission, our animals, and our daily work with a year-end tax-deductible donation.

Tiny Turtle Rescue

West Place helped Providence Animal Control by taking 7 tiny turtles from an eviction case, doubling the number of rescue turtles living in the pond.

Pond Cleanup

After the avian flu tragedy, extensive work was done to the pond. It wasn't always pretty, but necessary for the safety of animals above & below the surface.
