Before New England is blanketed in snow and hibernating for the season, an animal sanctuary in Tiverton is inviting the community to experience the beauty of its grounds and shop small for the holiday season.
From November 24th to November 26th, the Holiday Shop & Stroll returns to West Place Animal Sanctuary.
What Is West Place Animal Sanctuary?
West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton is a non-profit organization that provides a permanent home and lifelong care to farm animals rescued from abuse, neglect, and cruelty cases.
The sanctuary hosts three public visitors weekends each year, and each one serves as a critical fundraiser for an underfunded organization dedicated to underserved animal populations.
"These events provide opportunities for the community to meet the rescued farm animals that West Place cares for on a daily basis, and to experience the beauty and tranquility of the 8-acre sanctuary," said West Place.
When Is West Place's Shop & Stroll?
Friday, November 24 through Sunday, November 26th at West Place Animal Sanctuary, located at 3198 Main Road in Tiverton.
What to Expect at The Shop & Stroll
For its final visitors weekend of 2023, West Place will swing open the barn doors and welcome guests to stroll the grounds and visit the farm animal rescues before winter arrives. The gift shop will offer unique items, perfect for the animal lover who has everything.
"Hand-crafted and one-of-a-kind items are thoughtfully created daily by the sanctuary's volunteer crafters," said West Place.
Interactive and educational tours will leave every 30 minutes from 9:30 am to 3 pm and will last around 90 minutes.
This is the perfect holiday experience for the entire family as you check items off the holiday shopping list and meet with the cute farm animals that are thriving at the farm.
Advance online registration is recommended, and registration is open to all. Tickets are $24 for adults and $15 for children 12 years of age and younger.
All proceeds benefit the farm animals and wildlife at West Place Animal Sanctuary.
