Fall in love with West Place Animal Sanctuary and celebrate a historic milestone!
During this event only, take a special tour around the home originally belonging to Dr. Samuel West as we commemorate its 150th anniversary. Learn about the previous owners and the rich history of "The West Place," long before it was home to rescued farm animals.​
PLUS, you'll meet Lata, a baby elephant from The Great Elephant Migration that began in Newport and ended in Los Angeles. Lata will be on loan to West Place and available for viewing during Fall Visitors Weekend. If you missed the elephants in Newport, you'll have another opportunity to see the life-sized elephant calf replica crafted by an indigenous artisan before meeting the farm animals!
BACK AGAIN: special Driving Tours of the sanctuary will once again take place at 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Space is limited and tickets for the Driving Tours can be purchased here.​

Interactive and educational guided tours leave every 30 minutes and will have a maximum of 25 people per tour to ensure you have the best interactions with the animals.

Tours run approximately 90 minutes.

For planning purposes, we ask that tickets be purchased online in advance at a discount. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows but tickets sold at the gate will be full price.

Visitors Weekend will be held rain or shine. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

Those needing assistance navigating the property are able to tour in our new CRU electric Club Car at 4 pm both days (maximum of 5 persons).
