New winter bonfires coming to West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton

TIVERTON — West Place Animal Sanctuary, 3198 Main Road, is hosting a new kind of event this season.
Known for their open house weekends, where visitors can meet the sanctuary's rescued animals, they've been expanding their offerings, and this winter is no exception to that expansion.
Their new winter bonfires will "offer guests a new way to experience the sanctuary and stay cozy while getting outdoors," a press release from West Place said.
Since most visits take place during the warmer months, this is a chance to experience West Place in a completely different season.
Here's what to know about their new winter bonfires:
When are the winter bonfires?
Two limited-time special winter bonfire events will be held at West Place Animal Sanctuary on Dec. 6 and 20.
The bonfires will be lit on those dates from noon to 2 p.m.
They'll "offer a whole new way to experience the peace and beauty of the historic farm estate," the press release said.
Who can go?
These bonfire events are for adults only. All guests must be 21 or older.
"Visitors can freely explore the sanctuary and warm up next to a cozy bonfire in one of our pastures," the press release said.

Complimentary blankets and cider will be available.
Are outside food and beverages permitted?
Guests are welcome to bring a snack, but no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
Will the gift shop be open?
The gift shop, which is heated, will also be open.
Registration and tickets
Several ticket packages will be offered to "enhance the experience," the press release said.
Tickets start at $30 per person, with additional donation levels that include gifts from West Place Farmbrew.
